The Oak and Elm FAQS

1. We are Mitch and Lacey Adams.  Mitch works from home and has 25 years of restaurant management experience.  Lacey works as a Special Education Aide at an elementary school. We have two daughters, ages 13 +10, who like to help in the kitchen as well.

2. The Oak and Elm is a home-based, personal chef and home goods business in South Tulsa near 91st and Sheridan.  You can read our story at oakandelmshop.com 

3. We prep and cook for you just like we do for our family.  We use our own pots and pans, in our own 1980s kitchen.  Some recipes our ours, some are family recipes, some are from the internet.   

4. Orders are due by Thursday at 5 pm.  If you missed the deadline, reach out and we’ll see what we can do.   We also like to post extras so keep up with our Facebook so you don’t miss them.  We currently use Cognito Forms and you will receive an email confirmation.

5. Local Pickups/Deliveries are Sunday and Monday.  If you need a different time or day please contact us.  We have several options to choose from.  We do not offer shipping.

6. We offer meals portions for One, Two and Four.  We have a long freezer list and tons of baked goods.  Our meat portions are weighed out at 4oz. per person. Most of our meals do not make leftovers so if you like to take some for lunch, plan accordingly!

7. We also like to partner with other individuals and small businesses to promote their items too.

8. We do take allergies seriously and will keep a list for each customer.  We are more than happy to take personal food preferences and dietary restrictions into consideration and try our best to accommodate.  This can be tricky for foods that make a large batch.  Our order form has several places for you to tell us what you need. 

9. We do not currently offer nutritional facts for all of our items but we have ingredients listed.  

10. We try to keep our costs as low as possible while still using the best ingredients and packing supplies.  We have also had weeks that we had to substitute items based on availability. 

11. Please do not hesitate to call or text if you have questions while cooking!  We are here for you. Mitch is a night owl.  If you have late night questions – text him.  918-671-0837.  Lacey is up by 5am so all you early birdies can text her.  918-361-6601.

12.   Mitch is up to date on all of his certifications and adheres to all health codes.   We use his expertise for pricing, inventory, efficiency and sanitation.  

13.   We advertise mostly through word of mouth.  We appreciate your recommendations and ask that you please tag us in anything that you share so that Facebook gives us all the info! 

14.   We LOVE cooking for you! We believe that food is a love language and the best therapy.
